Biography
Annalee Mathis May serves as Senior Counsel with Chapoton Sanders Scarborough, LLP. She handles civil litigation and general corporate matters, including contract review and contract creation. Annalee has first chair trial experience involving premises liability and personal injury cases. She currently handles a variety of litigation matters, ranging from collection matters and contract disputes to construction cases and complex commercial matters.
Ms. May also has the privilege of working with small to mid-size companies to assist them with general corporate matters. This work entails working with clients through the early start-up phase and assisting these companies as outside counsel as they develop and grow within the local business sector. She also has experience working with larger companies to assist as counsel on specialized projects.
Her passion is elder care legal work. She prepares documents to protect our elder population, including powers of attorney and wills. She handles probate and post probate concerns. Ms. May has experience in trusts, such as supplemental needs trusts, and is also knowledgeable about deed on death transfers and related documents.
Annalee is a native Houstonian. She has two young adult children and enjoys gardening, reading, and cooking. Most of all, she enjoys time with family.
